Remembering the Ride for the Kids

In August 2018, in the middle of epic summer forest fires all up and down the west coast, 7 riders left South Surrey BC to ride almost 600 km to Cape Meares, Oregon. The Ride for the Kids was done in support of the Michael Cuccione Foundation – committed to finding the cure for childhood cancer.

Logan (BCPTI director) and Chris O’Hare (BCPTI instructor at that time) were part of that team. It was a big challenge but also an incredibly impactful experience.

Now, in support of the BC Cancer Foundation’s Workout Everyday in May campaign, we are thrilled to support Team #kindnesscures created by 3 amazing breast cancer survivors who all have a passion for fitness.

Erin is a BCPTI grad, bodybuilder, former UFC Gym coach and an inspiring public figure championing survival.

Nastasia is a former boss and mentor to the whole BCPTI instructor team and we love her Muscle, Mind & Money podcast!

Each day in May we will post a #moveoftheday to encourage people who are committing to at least 15 minutes a day of exercise.

Here’s the video that was made after the ride – check it out and join us for the Workout Everyday in May to help conquer cancer!
