Ma Weightlifting
“In this course you’ll learn classic Chinese Weightlifting techniques for the snatch, clean, and jerk.”
This is a drill-based course where you will not only learn how to teach the movements to clients in a systematic way, but you’ll also receive direct one on one coaching on your own lifts from head coach and program director Coach Jianping Ma.
Chinese Weightlifting follows 5 principles: Close, Fast, Low, Timing, and Stable. Because there is a lot of drilling in this 2-day course, there is a minimum expectation of competency:
It is recommended being able to perform a raw bar overhead squat and front squat.
If you are injured or unable to perform all lifts, you can audit the course but you will not be able to drill as much as full participants. This course is heavy on practical components.
Location: BCPTI
Certification Dates: Sept 9-10 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Course Fee: External Pricing: $499 + GST / Internal Pricing: $399 + GST.
