Somatic Senses – Barbell Strength Certification

“This is a course that’s meant to help each and every trainer gain an understanding and respect for the barbell so that they can choose to use it appropriately.”

Absolute strength is one of the cornerstones of all other health and fitness endeavours. Muscular mass and strength are two of the biggest predictors of health-span in an ageing population. Functional (useable) strength is the foundation of every high-level athletic undertaking. Regardless of who you’re training — whether pre-teens, athletes, stay-at-home moms, business folks, or the elderly — strength is one of the most important fitness variables to understand at a deep level. And there is no better tool to use, nor a more common type of free weight, than the barbell.
